Becoming a Volunteer Firefighter
Understanding all that is required of a volunteer firefighter and those who live with and support that person is a key component to become a successful team member.

Successful applicants will need to be prepared for understanding and adhering to the following requirements:
- Have sound judgement, be resourceful and in good physical condition,
- Ability to support and work as a team,
- Live in close proximity to one of our four (4) fire stations,
- Knowledge of or be willing to learn:
- Roads and information about the township and surrounding areas protected by agreement,
- Types of buildings in the Municipality,
- Rescue and first aid procedures,
- Safety procedures, rules and equipment,
- Modern firefighting and fire prevention methods,
- Department Operating Guidelines.
