Half Load Restrictions - 2026

Half-load restrictions in the Township of Otonabee-South Monaghan will begin on Saturday, March 1, 2025.
To protect our road network during the spring thaw, half-load restrictions are implemented annually beginning March 1, in accordance with the Highway Traffic Act. These measures help prevent road damage when municipal roads are most vulnerable to heavy vehicle traffic.
During this period, vehicles are limited to a maximum of 5 tonnes per axle, and truck and commercial transport access may be restricted in affected areas.
Restrictions will remain in effect until April 30, 2025, unless otherwise announced.
Thank you for your cooperation in helping to preserve our roads.
