The Township of Otonabee-South Monaghan is accepting applications for the position of “Deputy-Treasurer,” to work under the direction of the Director of Finance/Treasurer in the Finance Department on a full-time basis 35 hours/week – Monday to Friday – 8:30am to 4:30 pm. Some evening meeting attendance may be required.

Job Description - Deputy-Treasurer

The Township of Otonabee-South Monaghan is presently accepting applications for the position of “General Seasonal Labourer.” This position falls under the operational umbrella of two divisions – Public Works and Waste Management.

As a General Seasonal Labourer, you will be responsible for working alongside the public works personnel & the Waste Management Coordinator.

Good interpersonal skills are necessary, along with the ability to work on an “as needed” basis, in relation to weekends, etc. The range of pay for a fully qualified applicant is $20.76 per hour (2025 rate). A clean driver’s abstract and clean criminal records check must be provided by the successful candidate before a job offer is accepted.

Job Description - General Seasonal Labourer

Qualified applicants are invited to submit a detailed resume, outlining qualifications, and related experience by email with “Application for General Seasonal Labourer” in the subject line no later than 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 14 , 2025 to the attention of Human Resources by email at hr@osmtownship.ca.

The Township of Otonabee-South Monaghan is presently accepting applications for the position of “Truck Driver/Heavy Equipment Operator,” to work in the Township’s Public Works Department on a full-time, permanent basis.

The successful candidate will possess:
• DZ Driver’s licence and clean driver’s abstract
• Ability to operate heavy equipment such as backhoe, loader, tractor
• Grade 12 education or equivalent
• Ability to handle physical effort and exertion
• Knowledge and understanding of proper safety procedures

Good interpersonal skills are necessary, along with the ability to work on an “as needed” basis, in relation to weekends, etc. The rate of pay for a fully qualified applicant is $29.51 per hour (2025 rate). A clean driver’s abstract and clean criminal records check must be provided by the successful candidate before a job offer is accepted.
