Practical AI Training in Otonabee-South Monaghan
Practical AI training is coming to the Township of Otonabee-South Monaghan. The Local Advantage and InterAlign will offer hands-on, judgment-free AI learning designed for people with real work to do—no technical background required.
Date: Wednesday, September 16, 2026
Location: 21 Third Street, Keene, Otonabee-South Monaghan
The day will feature five sessions tailored to the following sectors:
- Construction and trades
- Small business operations
- Tourism and hospitality
- Health and wellness
- Non-profit and community organizations

Starting or Growing Your Own Business
Community Futures Peterborough and Peterborough County Economic Development will visit the Township of Otonabee-South Monaghan on Wednesday, September 23 for a workshop and networking opportunity for current and aspiring entrepreneurs.
Workshop: 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
This introductory session will cover the first steps of entrepreneurship, including exploring a business idea, deciding whether it is worth pursuing, and understanding what it takes to get started.
Networking and Open House: 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Following the workshop, attendees can meet other entrepreneurs, discuss business ideas, learn about available supports, and ask questions.
