Otonabee-South Monaghan Canada Day Celebration
Every July 1, the Township hosts the Keene Canada Day parade and celebration.
This event starts with a parade at 10:00 a.m. starting at North Shore Public School, and ending at the Keene Fire Station located at 21 Third Street, Keene.
Awards are handed out for the following categories of parade entries:
- Pre Junior (Toddler - Grade 1) - 1st, 2nd and 3rd places
- Junior (Grades 2, 3 & 4) - 1st, 2nd and 3rd places
- Intermediate (Grades 5, 6, 7, & 8) - 1st, 2nd and 3rd places
- Special Mention
- Young at Heart
