Candidate Information - 2022 Elections
To run for the office of Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Councillor or School Board Trustee you must file a Nomination Paper.
- Nomination Papers and Candidate Guides are available in the links provided under Candidate Forms and Documents and at the Municipal Office
- Until you file a Nomination Paper, you cannot raise or spend any money on your campaign.
- Candidates running for the position of Mayor, Deputy Mayor or Councillor must also provide at least 25 endorsement signatures from eligible electors.
Nomination papers can be filed from May 2 to August 18, 2022 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. and on August 19, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Nominations must be filed in person with the Clerk. Please contact the Clerk to book an appointment to file your nomination papers at 705-295-6852 Ext. 223

Third Party Advertisers |

The nomination period begins on May 1, 2022. As May 1 is a Sunday, you may not be able to register to be a third party advertiser until May 2, 2022 when the clerk’s office is open. The deadline to register to be a third party advertiser is Friday, October 21, 2022. |
