The purpose of the Parks and Arena Committee is to advise Township Council in all matters concerning parks and recreation in the Township.
The Committee also works with township residents, educational and private organizations to further the development and use of programs and/or facilities related to recreation and parks in the Township. Follow OSM Recreation on Twitter to see what is going on in the community.

Workplan
In 2013, the Otonabee South Monaghan Parks and Arena Committee (OSMPAC) conducted a survey with residents to determine parks and recreation needs in the Township. The survey generated over 175 ideas and recommendations which were used to formulate a workplan that will guide the OSMPAC for the next 4 years. This workplan includes targeted activities that will focus on:
- Marketing & Communications
- Facilities
- Partnerships
- Trails
- Programming
- Policy
The OSMPAC will strive to do periodic community surveys to determine areas of focus for the Committee. If you would like more information on the OSMPAC and the 4-year workplan, please contact Nick Powers, Chair of the OSMPAC.
