Under the Emergency Management Civil and Protection Act, all Municipalities are required to have a Community Emergency Management Program Committee (CEMPC).
The CEMPC assists in the development and implementation of the Emergency Management Program, and conducts an annual review, making recommendations for revisions, if necessary.
The CEMPC makes sure that annual training takes place for the Municipal Control Group Members. They also ensure that the completion of the annual compliance items for Emergency Management Ontario requirements takes place.
The Committee serves a term coinciding with the term of Council.
