With lakes, rivers, forests and fields, there is a lot of wildlife in the Township of Otonabee-South Monaghan. It is important to know how to deal with wild animals if you are living in or visiting the area.
The Ministry of Natural Resources website is a good source for finding information about wildlife, such as invasive species, species at risk, reporting bear problems, and much more. You may also find useful information on the Ontario Wildlife Rescue website.
Injured Animals
You can contact an authorized wildlife rehabilitator or the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry district office in Peterborough to get help for a sick, injured or abandoned animal.
