The Dog Control Officer for the Township of Otonabee-South Monaghan enforces the Dog Control By-law in a consistent and efficient manner. Dogs must have a dog tag and be kept under control at all times. Dog owners are subject to penalties or prosecution under the Dog Control By-law and/or the Dog Owners Liability Act.
The Dog Control Officer is sensitive to the rights and welfare of Township residents as well as the humane treatment of dogs.

Dog tag fees for 2022 are due upon receipt of the invoice.
If you have not received an invoice for your dog tag, please contact the Township office. Failure to receive an invoice does not excuse the dog owner from the payment of fees.
If there is an error on your dog tag invoice, please contact the Township office immediately so we can correct the issue.
