Public Works FAQ's

  • Where do I obtain sand for my driveway?
Sand is available for Township residents at both Public Works yards, on Drummond Line and Third Line. The boxes that are set out at both locations are for public access. The public is asked to stay away from the domes of sand, for liability reasons. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

  • Can I park on the roadways at any time?
Parking is not permited on Township streets, at any time between October and April, for road clearing purposes. Vehicles may be towed at the owner's expense, if left on the road during these months.

  • If my mailbox is damaged by a snowplow, who repairs/replaces it?
If a mailbox within the Township is damaged by a township vehicle (i.e. snowplow wing), the Township will replace/repair the broken mail as necessary. Please contact Bud Markham with the details (Email Bud). If a mailbox is damaged by the snow coming off of the snowplow wing, then it is the responsibility of the owner to replace/repair the mailbox.
