You may qualify for a reduction in your property taxes if you meet all of the following criteria:
- You have owned a property in the Township for at least two years;
- You have occupied the property as your principal residence;
- You are a low-income person with disabilities (i.e. you receive support under the Ontario Disability Support program or Canadian Pension Plan Disabilities pension) or you are a low-income senior (i.e. you are 65 years of age or older and receive a Guaranteed Income Supplement);
- Your property taxes have increased by at least $50.
You must fill out the Tax Relief for Low Income Seniors and Low Income persons with Disabilities form and bring it into the OSM Township office at 20 Third Street, Keene. Our Clerk must witness your signature, so do not sign the form ahead of time.
